High stakes demand a bold approach. Inside an inconspicuous USPS package was a tablet with a mission-revealing personalized video. Featuring an aging “Bond-esque” agent, speaking to you from his spy lair, the video issues an urgent business challenge and closed with the opportunity to immediately schedule a meeting with their “point of contact” at Bottomline.
The tablet arrived online and ready to track real-time engagement in Marketo. The 36% meeting acceptance rate far exceeded Bottomline’s KPIs and the work both delighted recipients and won several industry awards.
Exterior packaging was designed as a run-of-the-mill USPS box to make it from mail room to corner office. “Top Secret” packaging and instruction were revealed inside.
When turned on the app displayed a personalized entry into the mission and cued the personalized video.
The video mission concluded with a humorous invitation to do the right thing. If recipients chose not to accept a meeting they were prompted to learn more by opening a pre-loaded white paper.
